BJJ / NO-GI / SELF-DEFENCE

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art, self-defence and combat sport based on ground fighting and submission holds. BJJ focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds.

NO-GI/SUBMISSION

“No-Gi” or “Submission” is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the traditional uniform, instead you wear shorts and a rash guard.

In no gi you cannot grab your opponent’s clothing. No gi tends to be a little faster than BJJ.

Great option for hot training days and first time trial classes.

BJJ Self-Defence

Although most of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practiced today is in the sports format, the martial art was born as a self-defence method.

This class is taught in casual clothes and is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get to know BJJ for the first time.

Self-defence classes are also extremely necessary for more advanced belts, the techniques learned in the classes allow you not only to have a better view of how to use BJJ in a real aggression situation but to better understand the evolution of the sport.
